Bridgestone has really become more popular lately as far as their golf balls are worried. Their Tour B330 golf balls are used by PGA Tour professionals such as Brandt Snedeker, Matt Kuchar, and Davis Love III, so when they came out with a new tour level performance golf ball for amateur golfers I'd to try them out. The Bridgestone B330 RXS basketball is specifically designed for those with swing speeds less than 105 mph, and features a three piece design with a soft urethane cover great feel and distance. What follows is my review of the golf ball after playing a few rounds with it.

Positives

One of the first things that I noticed about while using Bridgestone B330s RXS was that if offered great distance, both off the tee as well as in the fairway. I hit it alongside a Titleist Pro V1 and located little to no distance difference between the two balls. It was especially great when it came to iron shots, as I was getting on average a minimum of three to five extra yards when using the golf ball. Another great part of the Bridgestone B330 RXS was that it was great for short game shots, whether chipping or putting. It includes a great feel on the putting green, and the alignment on the ball makes it easy to line up putts. When it came to chipping the ball would check up every time just the way I needed it to.

Negatives

The only real negative I found using the Bridgestone B330 RXS was when I hit long or middle iron shots in to the green. The ball just never seemed to have a great deal of spin control no matter which way I tried hitting it. The ball would hit saving money and just keep rolling as opposed to hitting the green after which stopping. One should expect an excursion level performance golf ball to have better spin control for these types of shots, and I was disappointed once the B330 RXS couldn’t perform up to its expectations.

Overall

Overall I really enjoyed using the Bridgestone B330 RXS round the golf course. One of the main weaknesses is my golf game is shots from 100 yards as well as in, and this golf ball really helped a great deal in both chipping and putting. While the basketball did not perform as well when it came to long and middle iron shot spin, for amateur golfers this will not be much of a concern. The distance that you get with the golf ball will lead to more short iron shots anyways.
